PermissionsEX & Ichat

I decided that since the new server is up and running i better get the more crucial things i wanted to implement up and running since you all are going to be on more than usually i hope, which is great but hard to implement new plug-ins; Install plugin, reboot, create configs, reboot, test all the commands and permissions, fix trouble ones reboot... see what i mean.

I added permissions so i can allow you more access or less based on your requests, instead of oping everyone so they can do w/e they want and possibly, accidentally destroy other peoples work.

I also installed ichat which allows for chat radius' and the ability to add color to chat windows and names. seems like a cool item, so i added it since its compatible with permissionsEX.

I have added Choptree, this plugin makes taking down trees a lot more realistic, when you want to chop down a tree, you MUST use and axe of any kind and destroy the base(bottom) log and the whole tree will yield (drop blocks) leaves will decay over time, leave them.. hehe

I have also implemented a fence protection plugin to keep people from re-entering the arenas after they're moved to spectator locations. (currently only affects memebers, not VIP or higher)

There are now commands to move your inventory to a chest for arena/mining simplification.
The commands are listed in the current command/permissions log below.

I also Added LWC (Light wieght Control) By use of the "/lwc -c " Command you can lock any chest door or hatch to be public or private; Public allows you to create a community chest that only Members or higher promotional status can enter and remove items, but only the owner can destroy, Private allows a person chest or doors that keep items safe from everyone but the Owner.

Today i spent a great deal of time reading about minecraft and found there is a serious problem with its net code and the best way to help it along is to prioritize packets, so thats what i did, i disabled a few "extra" security features that increase ping and added a On-Line Game QoS Policy for the port that minecraft runs on, hopefully lowering the ping that much more for you guys, let me know how its running.

UPDATE:

Removed Godpowers, while fun was a game ruiner, especially with the addition of arenas.

Added Mobarena!!! 10+hours building the arena, another 10+ getting the damn thing to work. but it was worth it. its really great fun. please if you have any ideas please let me know.

removed falsebook cart, just caused problems. nothing was being used.

Another Major Update

3. Major Update to the Texture Pack, New Armor type, Made Diamond Armor Match Diamond Tools, tweaked the CTM files for better performance, added some color to blander items.

LANDMARKS:
Our Dynamic map now supports landmarks! woot! - check it out

SEASONS:
Our server now has configurable seasons, currently i have seasons to Spring,summer,fall, and winter... Spring is dry, summer is rainy, fall is dry / thunderstorms, winter is snowy.
Each season lasts 10 days and weather lasts 12 hours.
seasons are not biome independant: to you noobs that means in the cold sections of the map it snows during rainy season and rains in the grassy areas. its not the whole map (maybe a future release.)

WOOL COLOR SELECTOR:
added the ability to cycle the color of wool by use of the mouse wheel.
Look at a block of wool you set down and scroll the mouse wheel to change the color.

PAINTING SWITCHER:
added the ability to cycle the paintings on the wall to help make decorating faster, no more add destroy and hope you get the right one!

NICK NAMES:
added the feature to rename a player from their Minecraft.net login to something else.

LOOKING FORWARD:
Future Add-On's may include cauldrons and/or Better IC's [(integrated Circuits) IE: bridges and draw bridges, elevators, huge doors, etc]

possible flight(jet) pack for monument/pixel art building.. who knows.

add suggestions and comments if you'd like longer/shorter seasons or anything else.
